Our weekend in Spokane

We had a great time in Spokane (as always). Thursday night Boo cooked dinner for us and then the Gonzaga game was on so we watched that ~ they beat Portland. Friday Boo and I had our "girls day" lots of shopping and lunch at the Mustard Seed. Mike and Barkley spent the day with Maisie, Greg, Luke & Abby. Unfortunately Luke is allergic to Barkley so that was a bummer. Friday night we all went to dinner at the Shogun celebrating mine, Abby's & Mike's birthdays. For those of you who have never been to the Shogun, they dress you in kimono's & wigs and a bunch of them come out with gongs singing Happy Birthday. It's quite the experience!
Saturday we went to the Davenport (Mike & Marlene's hotel) and had a couple drinks before heading to the Arena for the Zags game. The ESPN crew was in the lobby so Mike got his picture taken with Jay Bilas. Bobby Knight was there as well but he is as grumpy as ever ~ we didn't even try talking to him. A friend of Mike's has connections at the Arena so we were able to watch the game from one of the Suites and drink beer! Unfortunately the Zags got smoked! Barkley and Monte entertained each other the whole weekend so that worked out great.
We headed home fairly early Sunday morning so we could get back and caught up on laundry and all that fun stuff before the work week. We also had Kelly, Krystin and the boys over for dinner.
Austin & Aidan wrestled in Bozeman on Sunday. They each had 2 matches and they both won both matches with pins!!!! Aidan received his first gold medal last night at practice from the tournament the week before. He called to tell me all about it. He's spending the night with us tomorrow night and he's going to bring his medal so I can see it. He also received a dog bone for being so tough so he's going to give that to Barkley. I am so proud of both of them and can't wait to watch them wrestle in a couple weeks.
We have a busy weekend ahead. Mike's birthday is Friday and he's announcing the Tech basketball games both Friday night and Saturday night as well as reffing a basketball tournament on Saturday. Roger will be in town late Friday night because Tech plays Westminster on Saturday night. He has called Mike about 50 times already this week wanting to know what we're going to do while he's here. He'll only be in town about 24 hours and he has about 50 things that he wants to do while he's here. Austin also has a basketball tournament this weekend. Miner's 1st birthday is Sunday and we'll be going to his party that night. And Valentine's Day on Saturday ~ how could I forget??? Thank God for calendars! Mike & I both have Monday off which is probably a good thing to recover from the busy weekend.
Have a great week!
