Happy New Year

It's hard to believe Christmas is over and the New Year is about to arrive! We had a very nice holiday. We had dinner at my parents on Christmas Eve and then opened presents. Later that night we went to Krystin's parents house for a bit. Christmas morning we got up and went to Marc & Ang's to watch the kids open their presents and then headed to Kelly & Krystin's ~ all the kids had a wonderful Christmas. Unfortunately I came down with the flu later in the day so that was NOT fun at all. I had my ultrasound on Saturday at the hospital and everything with the baby was good ~ which was a huge relief after I was so sick. I was worried I was starving the poor thing! Austin was in a basketball tournament over the weekend but I was only able to make it to one of his games on Sunday.
Our 2 year anniversary was on Monday ~ we had too much going on with our house project so we picked up chicken dinners from Lydia's and plan go out to dinner another night to celebrate.
I had Monday & Tuesday off so it was nice to have a couple extra days. A couple girls from work took me to lunch and had a surprise pre-baby shower for me. It was so sweet of them! Tuesday, my mom and I had lunch with my uncle Mike, Marlene and Neil so it was nice to visit with them. I also had my dr appt on Tuesday and my dr has scheduled for me to be induced on January 11th if I do not go before that on my own. We overheard the nurse setting up everything with the hospital and it's official ~ we're going to be parents real soon!!!
Our house project is almost complete! The texturing was finished Tuesday night and Mike got up at 5 am on Wednesday and got everything painted before the carpet people showed up. They got our room and the hall carpeted yesterday and will do Baby B's room & the stairs today. It looks like a totally different house. It turned out better than we expected. We plan to get everything put back together this afternoon and then hopefully get the crib & dresser put together in the next couple days. Then we can put our feet up and relax before Baby B's arrival.
Wishing you health and happiness in 2010.

Merry Christmas

Are you ready for the fat man in the red suit to visit your house??? It's hard to believe Christmas is just 2 days away!
Last weekend we were busy once again preparing for Baby B's arrival. I got all the blankets & sleepers washed, diaper bag packed, Mike cleaned the inside of my car, Marc & I washed the outside and he installed the car seat for me. We also got the bassinet put together after a couple hours of frustration!!
The tape & texture guys started Monday night and will finish next Monday ~ then Mike needs to get busy painting because the carpet is getting installed next Wednesday. It's going to be very busy for us but so nice when it's done. I can't wait to have my house back in order. I'm getting tired of living in a construction zone. Then of course, once the carpet is in, I'm hoping Papa Joe will put the crib & dresser together!
I had my dr appt yesterday and I'm measuring at 37 centimeters ~ Baby B did not cooperate on the stress test so I had an ultrasound just to make sure the Baby is getting adequate brain & umbilical fluid ~ which he/she is. We were able to see that Baby B has very chubby cheeks!!! Can't wait to meet this lil bugger! I will have another ultra sound on Saturday at the hospital since the clinic is closed for the holiday.
We are going to church on Christmas eve and then my mom is cooking prime rib for dinner. We will open our presents after dinner. Christmas morning we will head to Marc & Ang's to see what Santa brought Austin, Aidan & Ashby and then we will head to Kelly & Krystin's to see what Santa brought Tocher & Miner. I'm sure they will all get spoiled! We don't have too much else planned for Christmas ~ hopefully some rest & relaxation!
We wish you a very Merry Christmas!

Another busy weekend

Friday night Ashby spent the night with us, which was a nice change cuz her brothers always beat her to it. She and I got up Saturday morning and picked up doughnuts at Town Talk and then lattes & hot chocolate at Star Bucks. My dad came over and we put up the chair rail in Baby B's nursery, decorated one of the walls with some monkeys and colored dots & hung a picture frame. The room is started to come together. All it needs now is carpet. Then I get to break the news to my dad that he gets to put together the crib & dresser!! Ashby & I went to the Civic Center to watch my friend Carrie coach girls basketball for Loyola & they won so that was good. We picked up lunch on our way home just in time to watch the Griz game. Mike was at the game and he said it was super cold but the game was too exciting to notice how cold it really was. My dad watched the game with me ~ what a thriller it was!!! Griz are on there way to Chattanooga! Boo & Tom are going to the game so hopefully they cheer the Griz on to a National Championship. Once the game was over we picked up my mom & headed to Mackenzie River for dinner.
Mike & Leo finished all the sheet rock work on Sunday so now we're ready for the tape/texture guy. He said he might be able to start at the end of this week. If not, he would start next Monday. Keep your fingers crossed that he can start this week.
My dr appt went well last week. Since I have a history of high blood pressure, my weekly dr appts will include stress tests on Baby B and then I will also have an ultra sound each week too. Dr appts/stress tests on Tuesdays & ultrasounds on Fridays. My Dr. & the ultra sound tech said I'm definitely carrying a good size baby ~ guess that explains why my back hurts all the time! We are super excited for Baby B's arrival but definitely want him/her to keep cooking for a few more weeks so we can get our project completed.
Have a great week and be sure to cheer on the Griz Friday night!

Happy 3rd Birthday Tocher

Hopefully everyone is managing to stay warm! We had a good weekend. Mike was back to bartending again at the Sports Arena on Friday. Saturday morning Mike & some of his buddies headed over to Missoula for the Griz game. My mom, Ashby & I went to the Montana Tech Bazaar ~ we didn't find much but it was still fun. I also got Baby B's diaper bag ordered that day too ~ green with brown polka dots. The 3 of us picked up lunch on our way home from shopping and went to my house to watch the Griz game. My mom & Ashby watched the first half with me then it was just Barkley & I for the second half. Not that it was much of a game. Griz smoked 'em 51-0.
Tocher & Miner came over for a bit (all dressed in their Griz gear) so I could babysit them for a couple hours. Saturday night we went to a Christmas party at Shane & Heather's which was very nice.
Sunday I made a couple pans of lasagna, got caught up on laundry, gave Barkley a bath and watched a little football. We also met with the tape/texture guy. We had Tocher's birthday party that night at Silver Bow pizza ~ he was so cute! He absolutely loved his cake.
Our stairs got started today and they should be done tomorrow. I have the carpet people coming to measure Thursday afternoon. It's all starting to come together. Baby B's room is painted and my dad pulled all the carpet in there yesterday and now he's staining the trim to match the crib & dresser. Thank God for papa Joe!
Aidan has a couple basketball games tonight that I'm going to then I'm going to dinner with my wonderful friends Stacy & Kris.
I have a dr appt tomorrow afternoon ~ I'm anxious to hear how things are progressing.
Mike is heading to Missoula again on Saturday for the Griz game and I of course, will be cheering from home. GO GRIZ! I don't think we have too much else planned for the weekend.
Have a great week and stay warm!

December is here.....

Hope everyone had a nice Thanksgiving. Mike went hunting Thanksgiving morning & I put up Christmas decorations. We've decided not to put up a tree this year with our projects that we have going on. We had Thanksgiving dinner at my parents along with Kelly, Krystin & the boys. Dinner was delicious! Friday morning my mom and I went shopping at Herbergers for a bit then my dad & I picked out closet doors for the nursery along with the chair rail. We also picked up a bunch of carpet samples so now I just need to pick one. Mike went to the Griz game on Saturday ~ what a game!!! My parents started painting the nursery & closet doors over the weekend and pretty much finished up today. We just need to put up the chair rail and wait for the new carpet. Unfortunately, we're at a stand still now until the stairs are done.
The Sports Arena is opening on Friday so Mike will start bartending again. Mike is heading to the Griz game on Saturday & I'm going to head to the Tech Christmas bazaar in the morning and then home to cheer on the Griz.
Have a great week!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Last weekend we were super busy. Friday afternoon Mike, Aidan and I went to Bozeman so I could finish my Christmas shopping ~ woo hoo!!! I even have all my presents wrapped. We had lunch at Buffalo Wild Wings when we got to town and then shopped. It was a fun afternoon. Austin & Aidan spent the night Friday night and then Saturday morning Leo came over and he & Mike got started ripping out the closet and wall for the new stairs. They took a break for a bit and we had a mini tailgate party before the Griz/Bobcat game. They worked most of the day catching bits & pieces of the game here & there. It was a very productive day! That night we went to dinner at the Pekin and it was so good! Sunday morning we got up and got everything cleaned up and spent the rest of the day watching football and relaxing.
I had a dr. appt yesterday and everything with Baby B is going well ~ growing, growing & growing. My mom also started painted the nursery yesterday too so that's exciting.
We are having Thanksgiving dinner at my parents house. Mike is going to hunt on Friday since hunting season is coming to a close. I am going to get carpet picked out for the upstairs rooms and I'm hoping the new stairs get started next week. We are running out of time ~ December is definitely going to be one busy month trying to get these projects completed and preparing for Baby B.
The Griz have their first playoff game on Saturday so Mike is going to head over to Missoula with a buddy for the game and I'm going to watch from home. I get to babysit Tocher on Saturday and Austin is playing in a basketball touranment as well so we'll be busy going to his games and watching the Griz.
Kelly & Krystin's one year anniversary is Saturday ~ HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to them.
We hope everyone has a Happy & Safe Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for, especially this little miracle in my belly!

Griz/Bobcat week

Happy Tuesday! Friday night we met Kyle & Teran for dinner at MacKenzie River ~ it was so nice to see them. We always have a good time with them. Saturday morning we headed for Missoula ~ Griz won 38-10. Big Griz game this coming weekend ~ hopefully they can beat the Bobcats! Aidan spent the night with us Saturday night. Sunday morning we got up and went to church and then Aidan and I did some grocery shopping. The Sports Arena is opening back up so Mike met with the new owner and he's going to go back bartending on Fridays (possibly just every other Friday).
I met with the daycare provider last night and checked out the daycare. Our schedule will work for her so I'm super excited about that. Baby B will go to daycare 2 afternoons and all day Thursday. Grandma Pat has offered to take the baby one afternoon and on Fridays which will be a HUGE help. Speaking of Grandma Pat, she hasn't started painting the nursery but plans to get started real soon. She must not be afraid of getting fired!!!
We don't have too much planned for this weekend. Mike might hunt a little bit and I'm hoping to get my Chex Party Mix made and of course we'll be cheering on the Griz!
Have a great week!

Mike got a deer!

Friday afternoon we headed to Helena to pick up Mike's winnings from his fantasy football picks. His picture is on the Montana Lottery website http://www.montanasportsaction.com/article.xsp?aid=341 We had lunch at Chile's and got stocked up on some stuff at Costco that we needed.
Mike got his first deer of the season on Saturday morning. I finally made it to Sherwin Williams and got the paint for Baby B's room. My mom is going to start painting in the next week or so. I also did a little more Christmas shopping on Saturday. My list is getting smaller and smaller!!! Saturday afternoon, we watched the Griz game and it was a nail biter ~ they kicked a field goal with 4 seconds left in the game to win! After the game, we met Shane, Heather, Ross & Leo for dinner at the Derby. Dinner was delicious and it was great seeing everyone.
Sunday was a day of rest and lots of football (of course).
I had a dr's appt yesterday and everything is moving right along. I'm measuring at 32 weeks (still 2 weeks ahead of schedule). I got pre-registered at the hospital and all my paperwork is done for my maternity leave at work. Really makes me realize how soon Baby B is going to be here! The daycare provider had to cancel our appt last week and of course we've been playing phone tag trying to re-schedule!
Busy week ahead ~ Aidan spent the night last night so he and Mike could watch their Broncos. I'm going to dinner tonight with Stacy & Kris and Aidan's spending the night again. Tomorrow night Tocher & Miner are spending the night cuz Kelly & Krystin are going to a concert. Looking forward to all of it. The Griz's last season home game is on Saturday so we'll be heading over to Missoula for that. They should get a playoff game over Thanksgiving weekend but it will just depend on the weather if I'll be making any more games after this weekend.
That's all I have for now.
Have a great week!

It's November already.....

Wow time flies. Baby B is going to be here before we know it! I had a dr. appt last week and I was measuring at 30 weeks which is a couple weeks ahead of schedule (but that's just fine with me). Mike went hunting all day Friday & when he got home we went to dinner at Mackenzie River and then just got things ready for the Griz game on Saturday. We headed over Saturday morning and helped Boo & Tom get the tailgate ready. The pre-game was awesome ~ there was a flag that covered the whole field and then a fly over. Supposedly the flag came from the Superbowl. Mike's parents drove over for the game and it was nice to see them. The Griz played awesome! We were able to see Tocher & Miner in their Halloween costumes when we got home but we missed out on seeing Austin, Aidan & Ashby. Hopefully Marc took pictures. Mike got up early Sunday morning and went hunting again. I took down Halloween decorations got the house clean and then put up my Thanksgiving decorations. Mike was home in time for the kickoff of the NFL games so we had a lazy rest of the day & then headed to my parents house for dinner. I'm taking Friday off & I'm meeting with a daycare provider for Baby B ~ hopefully our schedule will work for them ~ keep your fingers crossed for me! We are going to head to Helena in the afternoon and pick up Mike's fantasy football winnings. He won $700 but has to split it with his brother and a buddy ~ at least he won though! I'm sure we'll have a late lunch at Chile's then I'm hoping to stop at Target & Costco too. I started Christmas shopping and I've got a great start ~ I'm hoping to have it all done in the next couple weeks. Then I can focus on getting everything ready for Baby B's arrival. We don't have much else planned for this weekend ~ relax & watch football (our favorite thing to do). Have a great week.

Happy Monday! Our furnace was installed last week and they will come back when our stairs are being done to vent the 2 upstairs rooms & bathroom. Barkley went in to get his stitches removed & groomed on Friday and it didn't seem like anything went right. He somehow managed to get one of his paws caught in the dryer cage after his bath so they it took 3 of them to get his paw out and then they had to give him a pain pill. He had a bump under his tongue they found while cleaning his teeth the week before and the bump is still there so they had to take x-rays ~ luckily it's a couple teeth that are giving him problems so we just need to keep a watch on it. Normally, we go out to dinner on Friday nights but we felt so bad for the day that Barkley had, we didn't want to leave him so we just ordered in pizza.
Saturday morning Mike headed to Kelly & Krystin's to help with the siding and I met Krystin & her mom and we went to the bazaar. We found some cute Halloween decor & a couple cute necklaces. I went back to the bazaar in the afternoon with my mom. We also went to Sherwin Williams and picked up a bunch of paint swatches for Baby B's nursery ~ now I just need to decide on the color. I made it home in time for the Notre Dame game ~ for some reason it went off the air at my parents house so my dad came up and he and I watched it. Once again, it was another nail biter! The Griz won at Sac State so this coming weekend's game is going to be a good one.
Sunday Mike helped at Kelly & Krystin's for a bit & then we watched football all day ~ very nice & relaxing.
I had a dr appt today and passed the glucose test so that's exciting. One of my tests showed slight anemia so I need to start taking a couple iron tablets every day. I'm measuring at 30 weeks so I may be a little farther along than what they were expecting ~ time will tell I guess.
We're heading over to Missoula Saturday morning for the Griz game and will head home right after so I can see the kids in the Halloween costumes.
Have a great week & HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!!

Congratulations to Pat & Kimberly

Mike's brother Pat & his wife had a baby girl this morning ~ Meredith Avery Bauer ~ 5lbs 9oz 20 1/2 inches long. CONGRATULATIONS to them and big sister Jillian.

Tuesday, October 20, 2009

Friday night Mike & I had a date to Walmart. We bought bottles, formula, diapers, wipes & a few other things to give us a good start on the things that we will need for Baby B. After our shopping adventure, we met Leo at Mackenzie River for some pizza & beer (for the guys). Mike probably needed a drink after our grand total at Walmart!!!
Saturday morning, Kyle & Teran picked us up and we headed to Missoula for the Griz game. The weather was great ~ it was like a heat wave compared to last weekend. The Griz beat Eastern in a very exciting game. We had a great time spending the day with Kyle & Teran. There was a vendor at the game selling Griz dog apparel so we couldn't resist buying Barkley a Griz shirt!
Austin came over when we got home and spent the night. He and Mike got up early Sunday morning and headed to Kelly & Krystin's house to help put up siding. I hung out with Miner for the day.
I got the H1N1 vaccine Monday morning and I'm so relieved to have gotten it. I think my little buddy Aidan might have had the H1N1 virus last week. I haven't seen him in a week and I'm having withdrawls. He did inform me that he only has 2 more days to take medicine then he'll be all better. Hopefully I can hang out with him this weekend.
Our new furnace is being installed tomorrow & Thursday ~ it will be nice to have this project behind us. Nice to be able to mark something off our "to do" check list!
The Griz are playing at Sac State this weekend so we get to stay home! I'm going to the Holiday Bazaar Saturday morning & then finally, planning on picking out paint for Baby B's nursery. Other than that we are going to take advantage of being home for the weekend and relax. Have a great week & stay healthy!

Griz Homecoming Weekend

Mike brought me to Missoula Thursday morning to meet up with Boo. She and I had a great day of shopping and lunch at the Mustard Seed. Unfortunately I didn't get any Christmas shopping as I had planned but I did find Baby B some really cute Griz onesies. We shopped a little on Friday but for the most part, it was a pretty lazy day for me. Mike came over early Saturday morning and ran in the Homecoming Fun Run ~ it was SUPER cold in Missoula. When Mike got done with the race, he had icicles hanging from his stocking cap. Our Cal Poly friends, Bruce & Bill were there for the game so it was nice to see them. GRIZ WON!!! Mike & I came home after the game. Aidan spent the night with us Saturday night. We picked up pizza and watched football. I think I was sleeping in the recliner by 9:00.
Sunday morning we did a bunch of cleaning before the NFL games started. Trish was in town seeing her new niece so I went and visited with her Sunday night for a couple hours.
Monday & Tuesday night Austin had his Little Guy Football jamboree, playing under the lights at East. His team won 2 out of 3 games.
Yesterday my dad had his gallbladder removed and he seems to be recovering well. Barkley also went under the knife yesterday and got neutered ~ he's recovering well too.
The Griz play Eastern on Saturday so we're heading over in the morning with our friends Kyle & Teran ~ I'm looking forward to spending the day with them.
Our new furnace is getting installed next Wednesday & Thursday so it will be nice to have that over & done with.
Hope the rest of your week goes well.

Lazy Weekend

We had a very lazy weekend and loved every minute of it. Friday night we went to dinner at Lydia's with Leo and it was fabulous. Saturday morning we went to Austin's football game and they won again (I can't remember the score). Tocher spent the afternoon with us watching football. My parents came for dinner Saturday night.
Aidan came over on Sunday and spent the day with us watching more football. I did manage to get caught up on laundry and a few other things around the house.
We had everyone over last night for lasagna and Monday night football.
I'm heading to dinner tonight with Stacy & Kris and looking forward to that (as always).
This weekend is Griz homecoming so Mike is going to drive me to Missoula Thursday morning and drop me off. Boo & I have a couple days of "girl stuff" planned with lots of shopping. I'm hoping to get a good start on my Christmas shopping (it is right around the corner ya know). Mike is going to come over on Saturday morning and run in the 5K Homecoming Fun Run which starts right before the parade. The Griz play Cal Poly so our friends Bruce & Bill will be there ~ looking forward to seeing them. We'll head home after the game on Saturday & Sunday will be a day of rest & recovering for me!!! Boo did promise that she would let me rest as long as I consider resting "sitting on a bar stool."
My dad is having his gall bladder taken out next Tuesday & Barkley is getting neutered the same day so I'm hoping they can recover together! Keep them in your thoughts!
Have a great week!

Tuesday, September 29, 2009

We had a good weekend ~ Friday night we went to dinner at Mackenzie River with my parents. Saturday morning Austin had a football game so we picked up Tocher and brought him to the game with us. It was a big game for Austin's team cuz they played their big rival from last year. Marc coached them up and they won 42-0!!! After the game we had Tocher, Aidan & Ashby and went to lunch at the Deluxe with my parents. Then we headed home and the kids played in the backyard while we put all our outdoor/summer stuff away. Our backyard looks so bare now but glad we got that done. Saturday night Aidan spent the night and we watched the Griz game ~ they won in over time and then watched Notre Dame barely win. Talk about lots of yelling at the TV. Sunday was a very lazy day watching NFL.
Papa & Grandma bought Baby B's crib & dresser and they arrived today. I'm excited to see them once they're put together but that's going to be a while with the projects that we have going on.
The Griz are off this weekend so we get to stay home again!!! Austin has a game on Saturday morning so we will be there cheering him on. The weather is turning cold so it will be a good weekend to be home watching football again. I'm taking advantage of these lazy weekends!
Have a great week. Get out your warm clothes!!!

Wedding weekend in Sandpoint

Hello there. We went to Sandpoint last weekend for a wedding. We left Friday afternoon and stopped and had dinner in Couer D'Alene at the Olive Garden (one of my favorites). Then headed to the cabin. Saturday morning we all got ready and went to town to watch part of the Griz game before the wedding. We ended up watching the game a little longer than we should have and some of us got dressed in the car on our way to the church and the rest of our group got dressed in the parking lot of the church. It was quite comical. Good thing we didn't get pulled over on our way to the church. It would have been a little awkward explaining what we were doing! Chuck & Kristen's wedding was absolutely beautiful ~ one of a kind! We got up bright and early on Sunday morning and headed home so Mike could be back in time for the Broncos game at 2:15. Papa watched Barkley for us while we were gone and Barkley was very excited to see us when we got home. Thanks Papa! I had a dr's appt yesterday and everything is on track. I'm measuring at 24 weeks, got the flu shot & Baby's B's heart rate was in the 150's. We don't have to travel anywhere this weekend (Griz are at NAU) so I'm looking forward to hanging out around the house. Austin has a football game on Saturday morning so we will definitely be there cheering him on. And I'm sure the rest of our weekend will consist of watching lots of football. I'm also hoping to go pick out the paint for Baby B's nursery.
Have a great week!
