Alumni game, wrestling & more wrestling

Happy Monday! It is snowing here & I would like to know where the sun is!!
Last Thursday Mike and a few buddies went to Salt Lake to watch the Jazz/Lakers basketball game and then drove back home after the game. He got home at 6:00am ~ I told you he would do ANYTHING for basketball!!! They picked a great game to go to so that was good.
Mike has been extremely busy promoting his basketball tournament http://www.sportsarenashootout.com/
Friday night we went to Dillon and Mike played in the alumni basketball game ~ the old guys got beat!!! After the game we headed out in the big town of Dillon and it was great to see everyone. Saturday morning Mike ran the 5K race that was part of alumni weekend ~ I can't remember his time just know that he wasn't happy with it. We got on the road after the race to get back to town to watch Austin & Aidan wrestle. State Freestyle was on Saturday & State Greco was on Sunday. Austin took first and Aidan took third. After wrestling, we met Marcie, Josh and her family at the KC for pizza. It's so awesome that they live close enough to Montana to make frequent trips up here.
Sunday morning I was back at the Civic Center for more wrestling ~ Mike stayed home to watch basketball. Austin took first again and Aidan took 5th. I have to brag one more time ~ Austin took 1st at all 3 State tournaments this year so he's the 103 pound Triple Crown State Champ and not only that, he only lost once all season (in overtime) & every one of his wins was by pin. Very AMAZING!!!
"Two Butte Wrestlers completed their quest for the Triple Crown Award. Austin Lee and Lee Cannon earned the Triple Crown by winning all three state championships in all three styles of wrestling. They each won individual championships last month in Great Falls at the AAU State Folkstyle Tournament, the USAW State Freestyle Tournament on Saturday in Butte, and the USAW State Greco Tournament Sunday in Butte." (article from sports page in Montana Standard)
We're proud of both the boys and their success this season. I do have to say that I'm glad wrestling is over for the year ~ they are very long days.
From one sport to the next, Austin had a baseball game tonight and won. Aidan starts his games in the next week or 2.
Tomorrow is Aidan's 6th birthday. He and Austin are having their party Friday night at the YMCA.
Have a great week and hopefully we will have blue skies and the sun shining one of these days!

Hello there. Mike played in a basketball tournament this weekend in Townsend so we headed over Friday night for his game. Saturday morning Mike headed back to Townsend to play again but I stayed in Butte because I had a baby shower to go to so Krystin and I went to that. It was fun to have a girls afternoon and a couple beers. Sunday morning we picked up Aidan and headed back to Townsend again ~ Mike's team took 3rd.
My parents left for Las Vegas Sunday morning and will be back tomorrow night so we're dog sitting Calvin. Barkley really wants to play with Calvin but Calvin wants no part of Barkley and the cat of course doesn't want anything to do with either dog.
Mike and a few buddies are going to Salt Lake on Thursday to watch the Jazz and Lakers game.
We're heading to Dillon Friday night because Mike is playing in the alumni basketball game and then he's going to run in the 5K race on Saturday morning. We'll be back to town after the race because Austin and Aidan are wrestling here for the State tournament and I need to be back to watch them ~ GOODLUCK AUSTIN & AIDAN!!!
Have a great week!

Happy 10th Birthday Austin & Happy Easter!!!

Happy 10th Birthday to Austin and Happy Easter to everyone! Once again, it was a very busy weekend. Friday night we went to dinner at Lydia's with Kelly, Krystin and Leo and it was delicious. Saturday morning, Ashby and I went to Anaconda to meet Carrie, Luke & Addy for an Easter egg hunt at Washoe Park and then headed to the Haufbrau for lunch. Once we got back to Butte, Ashby and I went to the MAC to watch Austin & Aidan wrestle. Austin took first and Aidan took second. Austin's name was in the paper today "Butte big kid Austin Lee rolled through the 103 pound class". They both did awesome and as always I am so proud of them. Saturday night we had my mom & dad and Marc, Ang & the kids over to barbeque hamburgers. We are so excited that it's starting to warm up and we can start barbequing again. After dinner we headed to the War Bonnet for a surprise 40th birthday party for Ross ~ it was a very nice party.
This morning we went to church and then headed to my parents house to watch the kids and the Easter egg hunt. After that we came home and did lots of things around the house ~ inside and outside cleaning. It was so nice to get it all done. We had dinner at my mom and dad's ~ turkey, mashed potatoes, dressing & all the works! We had a great Easter weekend and hope everyone else did too.
Have a great week!

The sun is shining

It is so nice to finally see the sun again and hopefully it's here to stay! We had a fun weekend. Friday night Austin and Aidan spent the night then Saturday morning we dropped them off and picked up Ashby and we headed to Helena to do some shopping & lunch at Chili's. Saturday night we met Kyle & Teran at Metal's for dinner, drinks and the basketball game (unfortunately North Carolina won). It was awesome to see Kyle & Teran ~ it's been way too long since we've hung out with them.
This morning we got up and went to church and now we're just doing things around the house and getting ready for the work week. Weekends go by way too fast.
Hope your week is good!

Barkley & Ashby on our way to Helena.

Happy 4th Birthday Ashby Lynn

It's Wednesday night and I'm finally updating the blog. We had a busy weekend. Mike reffed in the Estes basketball tournament in Anaconda starting Friday morning at 8 and ended Sunday afternoon at 4 ~ he ended up reffing 31 games. He even spent the night at the gym on the floor ~ he will do anything for basketball.
Marcie was in town so it was so exciting to meet Cole ~ he is as beautiful as her other 2 kids. I took Friday afternoon off so we took the kids bowling and then headed to Mansanti's for pizza that night. Saturday morning we took the kids to Fairmont and they sure had a good time swimming and on the slide.
Saturday night my friend Carrie from Missoula came over and we had dinner at the Derby ~ it was delicious. We headed over to Anaconda after dinner to catch a couple basketball games at the Estes. It was a great "girls night" ~ I loved being able to hang out with Carrie. It's been forever since we've had the chance to be together.
Sunday night we had Ashby's birthday party at Silver Bow ~ she looked adorable and had so much fun. She loved all of her presents. T-man had me on the carousel about 5 times in a row ~ I was getting a little dizzy.
We're going to head to Bozeman or Helena on Saturday to make a trip to Costco and a little other shopping. I still need to find some things for our new bathroom. And then of course lunch some where yummy!
Have a great rest of the week.
