Birthday weekend
My birthday was Saturday so we celebrated with dinner at my parents house. My mom barbequed a seasoned roast and Kelly made fettucine alfredo (it was just as good as Olive Garden). It's always fun to have the kids' help blowing out the candles. It's always a sure bet to have one or two sometimes three of the kids crying over something! Never a dull moment that's for sure! Thanks to everyone for the cards, texts and birthday wishes! We went to watch Austin play in a basketball tournament yesterday. Unfortunately they lost both games but it was a great experience for him. He played with kids from Central and of course had to wear a Bulldog shirt! Marc made sure Aidan, Ashby and himself all had purple on too! It's hard to believe January is almost over. We are heading to Whitefish this weekend ~ Mike is being inducted into the Hall of Fame so he's very excited about that. It will be Barkley's first trip ~ hopefully he behaves himself. We will be heading home early on Sunday because we're having a little Super Bowl party. I am just cheering for numbers ~ I want to win money! The Australian Open is going on so I've been staying up very late watching Andy Roddick ~ he's in the Quarter Finals tonight so I'm sure tonight will be another late one. GO ANDY! I never understood how someone could watch tennis, then Kelly always watched it and I got hooked. Have a great week!

I don't know if I told you but
Mike is doing the radio for the Montana Tech basketball games. He started last weekend so we were at Tech both Friday and Saturday night. Austin and Aidan love it because it gives them a chance to run around with all their buddies. Mike was hesitant of doing it at first but seems to be happy with his decision. Friday night, I went to dinner at MacKenzie River (another one of my favorties) with Marc, Ang and the kids and then off to the Tech game.
Saturday Mike, Aidan, Leo and I went to Helena to get the toilet and then a little other shopping and had lunch at Chile's ~ it was fun and nice to get away for the day. The plumber is at our house today finishing up everything in the bathroom ~ I am so excited to be done with it.
And of course on Sunday we just hung out and watched football. My dad (my handy man) came over to hang a few things for me that I bought in Helena. For those of you that don't know, I don't allow Mike to hang things ~ his idea of straight and mine are COMPLETELY opposite so it just makes sense to have my dad do it. No sense in causing a fight right???
We didn't have much else going on this week ~ I've been trying to get home right after work to spend time with Barkley and work on potty training ~ the joys of having a puppy!
I'm going to the Butte High/Butte Central basketball games tonight ~ GO BULLDOGS!!! Beat the crayons (as Aidan would say).
We don't have a lot going on this weekend ~ I think we're going to have a little get together on Sunday for the football games and just get the house back in order after the bathroom remodel.
Have a great rest of the week and weekend!

Meet Barkley.....
Well we finally found a puppy ~ thanks to the help of Krystin. We got him on Sunday and he is a 10 week old Shih Tzu. He's been lots of fun. Aidan was at our house when Barkley arrived so it's pretty cute because Aidan thinks he's his dog too. The cat hates the puppy of course so that's been a little intersting.
New Year's Eve we had my parents, Ang & the kids (Marc was working) & Tocher & Miner over for dinner. Kelly and Krystin went to dinner and a movie so we got to babysit. New Year's Day my mom had dinner and we celebrated Marc's birthday which is Jan. 2nd. Poor Mike ended up with the flu and was sick all weekend so needless to say we didn't do much.
I went to our friends Christmas dinner Sunday night at Lydia's and had a great time ~ the food was excellent. Mike still wasn't feeling up to eating a big meal so he stayed home with Barkley.
They started the tile in our bathroom today so that's very exciting ~ hoping they will be done with it by the end of the week. We are going to take a ride to Helena on Saturday to head to Home Depot to get the toilet and then have lunch at Chili's (one of our favorites).
Hope 2009 is off to a good start for you!

Dreams are like stars…. you may never touch them,
but if you follow them they will lead you to your destiny.
