Where did September go????

Hello there. Another on the go weekend for us. Friday night we had a barbeque with some of Mike's co-workers. They are a fun bunch of people.
Then Saturday morning, Mike, Aidan and I were on the road for Missoula for another Griz game. My friend Carrie and her family stopped by the tailgate at half time and it was wonderful to see them. Her kids were wearing their Griz jerseys #8 and looked adorable. The Griz kicked a fieldgoal with 5 seconds left to win 38-35. It was exciting to say the least.
Sunday morning we did a bunch of cleaning and chores around the house. Mike and my dad hauled the baby blue bathtub out and all that's left to do is tear out the ceiling then we can start the construction process. Sounds like the new window will get installed this week.
We barbequed steaks and had everyone over for dinner last night. I had baked a cake for dessert and we sang Happy Birthday to Tocher (even though it wasn't his birthday). Just seems like any time we have cake for dessert, one of the kids asks who's birthday it is and Tocher likes to sing Happy Birthday so we just "pretended". Good thing he's too young to expect presents when we sing Happy Birthday to him!!!
Mike is in mourning because both of his football teams (Cowboys & Broncos) lost yesterday.
We are leaving bright and early Thursday morning to fly to Denver to stay with Marcie, Josh & family. Marcie's parents are flying down with us so it should be a great time. We are going to the Texas/Colorado football game Saturday night and then the Bronco/Buccaneer's game on Sunday. GO BUCS!!! (sorry Mike, Marcie & Josh) I can't wait to see Jon Gruden in person!!!
We are also going to see Mike's sister Jann and her family. We haven't seen them since our wedding so we're looking forward to spending time with them.
Have a wonderful week and I'll post pictures next week of our Denver trip.

Homecoming in Missoula & Miner's Baptism

Hello there! We survived our very busy weekend. I had a great time in Missoula shopping, eating out and many hours at the Mo Club (our favorite). The time seemed to fly by and we didn't get as much shopping done as we usually do but we still had fun. Mike enjoyed running in the Homecoming Hustle. It was a very late night Friday night so needless to say the rest of us didn't have the energy to go cheer him on. We did our part by cheering him on before he left the hotel room. The football game was a good one ~ a nail biter but the Griz pulled it out!!! We came home Saturday night after the game.
Miner's baptism was Sunday morning ~ he sure looked handsome! Austin, Aidan, Ashby & Tocher were Father Haffey's assistants. Marc & one of Krystin's friends were Miner's Godparents. After the baptism, Kelly & Krystin had a get together at Gamer's for breakfast. It was all very nice.
The rest of the day was spent watching football. My team, the Packer's played Mike & Aidan's team, the Cowgirls (I mean Cowboys) but unfortunately my team lost! I'm having a hard time cheering for the Packer's since Brett Favre isn't quarterbacking.
Have a wonderful week. By the way, Austin won his little guy football game on Saturday ~ 14-0

Wheels on the bus.......

We had so much fun on our bus trip to the Griz game. The weather was beautiful, the beer was cold and the Griz won ~ doesn't get any better than that!!!

The last picture is with Griz player #8 Rob Schulte ~ our families share a tailgate spot so after the game we were able to get our picture taken with him.

We were a little tired from our fun filled Saturday so needless to say, Sunday was a day of rest and watching football.

It is Homecoming in Missoula this weekend so I'm heading over tomorrow night to meet Boo & Kelsey so we can have a couple "Girls Days" before everyone else gets there. Can't wait to shop til we drop!

We are also going to be celebrating uncle Mike's 60th and Boo's 50th birthdays!!!

Saturday morning Mike is running in the Homecoming Hustle (5k run) ~ the runners will start at the front of the Homecoming parade and at the end of the race, the runners do a lap in the football stadium so that should be pretty cool. We will be at the parade cheering Mike on as he zooms by us ~ GO MIKE GO!!!!

Miner is getting baptized on Sunday morning so once again we have a very busy weekend.

Have a wonderful week.

Football season is here.......

Hey there. Austin had his first little guy football game on Saturday in the rain. His team is the Colt's & he's #61. He was a little stud on defense. They tied in overtime. It was so fun to watch ~ unfortunately we are going to miss most of his games because of the Griz games and our busy fall schedule.
We had a Griz get together Saturday night at the Sports Arena ~ what a game!!! Way to go Griz. We are looking forward to the Griz's first home game this weekend. Mike arranged a bus so we have 50 people going with us. I will defintely post pictures of the trip next week.
Sunday we spent the day watching NFL games ~ surprise, surprise! It was also my dad's birthday so we went to my mom's for dinner and cake of course. Kelly and Krystin couldn't make it to dinner so Monday night we had dinner and cake again we needed to get a picture of papa with all his grandkids.
We have officially decided to remodel our 1960's bathroom ~ no more baby blue tub and toilet!!! Thank God!!!! We started to rip things out Monday night during commercials of the football game. It's going to be quite the project but well worth it. Hopefully it won't take as long as the kitchen remodel!!!
Krystin's birthday was yesterday ~ Happy Birthday Krystin. Ashby also started pre-school yesterday and loved it!
Have a great day!

Summer is officially over.....

Friday night we went to the Butte High football game and unfortunately the Bulldogs lost. Saturday we went to Virginia City with my parents and went to the Brewery Follies. The show was great ~ there was several times I was crying because I was laughing so hard. We stopped in Alder on the way home to have dinner. Ashby and I got our haircut on Sunday and that night we had everyone over for dinner. Monday morning we woke up to a skiff of snow. I am not ready for cold weather just yet. Actually I don't know if I'm ever ready for cold weather but September is definitely too soon.
It was great to have a 3 day weekend ~ I could easily get used to them every week. Just don't see that happening however.
Now that summer is over we are soooo EXCITED for football season. Austin has his first little guy football game this Saturday morning so we are looking forward to that.
Not too much else planned during the week ~ just going to watch my boy Andy Roddick in the US Open ~ GO ANDY!!!!

Have a great week!
