Weekend for running through the hose.......

Hello all. Hope your weekend was good and your week is off to a good start. Mike ran a 5k this weekend (Ticker Tuner Run) & he's very happy with his time.
Mike had to bartend Saturday afternoon so Aidan & I went to lunch at the Sports Arena to visit him. Then we hurried home because Tocher and Miner were waiting for us. We got to babysit them for the rest of the day. We spent most of the day outside running through the hose and eating lots of popsicles. The weather was beautiful. We also had my parents over for dinner.
Mike was a faithful men's basketball fan during the Olympics getting up most mornings before 6 to watch them play. I'm not an NBA fan whatsoever so I thought he was crazy plus I like my sleep way too much. But I thought I would be a nice wife and stay up with him Saturday night/Sunday morning to watch the men's gold match at 12:30am. Since most of their games were blowouts I figured I could watch til halftime then go to bed, but not with this game. It was a great game and I actually enjoyed watching it. Needless, to say we finally went to bed at 3:30 once the medal ceremony was over. I'm sad the Olympics are over but it sure is nice to get some sleep!
Sunday, Mike's sister Maisie and her two kids Abby & Luke stopped to visit on their way to Helena. They spent the afternoon with us and it was more running through the hose & playing in the backyard.
Have a great rest of the week!

Girls just wanna have fun.........

We had an 80's backyard bash Saturday night. Not too many people dressed up but we sure had a great time. We danced the night away! You know it's a good party when the cops show up @ 1:30 a.m. ~ I guess someone called and thought we might have some underage drinkers but unfortunately we are all far from being underage. The cops got a kick out of Mike's outfit. Needless to say "their visit" didn't stop us from continuing to have a good time. We think the party ended some time after 2:00. Hopefully our neighbors don't kick us out of the neighborhood!
Hope everyone had a great weekend.

Summer vacation at Pend Oreille

We couldn't have asked for better weather at the lake. I think we pretty much did just about everything that we could possibly do.
2nd annual fishing derby between Mike, Kelsey & Dylan ~ Dylan won again this year. Maybe next year Mike or Kelsey!!!
Boating to several destinations for lunch & dinner or our new favorite swimming spot ~ poor Tom must be exhausted from boating us around all the time.
Floating in front of the cabin (Boos' favorite thing to do).
A couple other things were famer's market, craft show and a concert at the Sandpoint Festival. It was LOTS of fun (as always).
Hope all is well with everyone! Have a wonderful week.
I'm looking forward to watching the Olympics ~ GO USA!!!

Bags are packed.....

Our bags are packed and the car is loaded and we're ready for Lake Pend Oreille. We are leaving town in a few hours after Mike gets off work. I took the day off to get the house clean and everything ready to go. I get to spend my afternoon with Tocher and Miner ~ Kelly and Krystin headed to Polson to get a puppy. So they have a new addition to their family!
Have a great weekend!
I will post when I get home from vacation in about 10 days.

Take care!
