Evel Knievel Weekend

Mike's parents came to spend the weekend with us and arrived Friday night. On Saturday we headed uptown and met Kelly, Krystin, Tocher and Miner and we checked out the Farmer's Market and then had lunch at the M&M. Uptown was very busy with Evel Knievel Days ~ I don't know where some of the people come from!!! We watched the freestyle jumps in the afternoon and Marcie, Alyssa & Cade joined us for that.
We barbequed that night and had my parents over. Tyler and Mandy stopped to visit and Mike & Tyler challenged my dad & Dave to a game of washers ~ it was the best of 5 games. And guess what???? Mike and Tyler lost!!!! GO DAVE & JOE!!!!
Dave and Kathie left Sunday morning and we spent most of our day hanging out in the backyard with Austin. Mansanti's had us over for dinner lastnight ~ they must be tired of feeding us!!!

We are leaving this Friday night for Lake Pend Oreille for 10 days and can't wait!!!

Have a great week. :)

Summer Fun......

Another busy weekend. I took Friday off because we had a garage sale and my mom was supposed to help me, but unfortunately she came down with strep throat and was in bed for 2 days. Mike helped with the sale until he had to go to work and then my dad and Aidan helped for the rest of it. We got rid of quite a bit of junk ~ thank God! Mike's parents are coming this weekend and informed us they are bringing the truck because Mike still has a bunch of stuff at their house so it looks like we may be having another garage sale some time in August.

Saturday I had a "girls day" with my friends Stacy & Kris. Kris and I got our frappes for the road and we headed to Anaconda for Art in the Park, had lunch at the brewery, hit a couple shops in Anaconda, headed to Georgetown to see Stacy's parents' cabin, then we were off to Philipsburg to hit a couple stores and then see a play. We had a great day.

On Sunday, Mike, Austin, Aidan and I went to the Big Hole fishing for a couple hours. Mike's fishing spot isn't quite big enough for all of us so it was quite interesting. Each of the boys caught a fish so that was exciting.

The ice cream man was cruising through our neighborhood and I couldn't pass up getting Tocher a treat. He actually got 2 treats ~ a popsicle and a push up. He LOVED them!

BIG weekend for Butte

The festival was awesome!!! Friday night I went with Marcie, Alyssa, Lindsay & Chloe and we went to listen to a Cajun band ~ they were great and had everyone on their feet dancing. After the festival, I met Kelly at the Vu and we closed the place down!

Saturday morning Aidan and I walked through the farmer's market and then headed up the hill to the festival. My mom and dad helped direct traffic for a couple hours and then came and met us and we made a full day of it ~ lemonde, island noodles, ice cream, tropical sno, spiderman ice cream bar, fudgesicle, slice of pizza, more island noodles and lots & lots of water. Marc, Ang & Ashby joined us in the afternoon. It was fun to see people that I haven't seen in a while.

Yesterday, I spent the day with Aidan & Ashby and we just hung out in the yard playing. Last night Aidan & I visited Trish and her family ~ it's always good to see them.

Mike had a good weekend in Whitefish ~ he was most excited about Phil Jackson (Laker's coach) being at the basektball tournament.

Happy Friday!!!

Mike left this morning to Whitefish to ref a basketball tournament and to see his parents and Whitefish buddies.
The National Folk Festival is in Butte this weekend so my plans are to check it out and enjoy the festivities. I'm just excited not to be getting in a car and going somewhere this weekend ~ seems like that's all we do.
Have a great weekend everyone!

Our Fourth of July Weekend

We had a great time at Pend Oreille ~ boating, jet skiing, camp fires, cocktails on the lake, fireworks & fishing.

Mike has always wanted to go on a charter fishing trip on Pend Oreille so Tom helped me arrange the trip and I surprised Mike with it. Tom, Kelsey, Mike, Leo & Pat (the neighbor) got up bright and early Sunday morning and the boat picked them up. They caught 7 fish and had a great time.

I hope all of you had a wonderful 4th.
While we were gone........Austin & Aidan each won the Huck Finn contest for their age group at a party at Clark's Park on the 3rd. My parents, Kelly, Krystin, Tocher & Miner went to the barbeque after the parade for Barack Obama and said it was awesome. My mom and Krystin shook Obama's hand and Tocher gave him five! Unfortunately they couldn't take any pictures.

Marc & Ang took Austin & Aidan to Get Smart the other night and when "The Rock" came on the screen, Aidan asked out loud if that was Barack Obama ~ I guess the whole theater started laughing. What a dandy!
Have a good week!

We had a busy weekend......

On Saturday we had a barbeque at our house for the Mansanti family. They did all the catering for our reception so it was our turn to do something nice for them. Not that we can ever thank them enough for all they did. They're the BEST!!!! After dinner, we had a washers (lawn game) tournament and unfortunately Marcie and I lost in the championship to Mike and Josh. We definitely want a re-match. Sunday morning Mike, Austin, Aidan and I went to Georgetown Lake to visit Leo at his cabin for the day. We went boating, jet skiing and Mike did some fishing. The weather was absolutely beautiful. We're heading to Lake Pend Oreille today to spend a long weekend with Boo, Tom and family.

Have a safe and Happy 4th!
